Our Sustainability Journey with Travelife

At Jans Tours, our mission is to help preserve the world around us — from the communities we work with to the landscapes we explore. Operating in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia, we are dedicated to ensuring that our operations, products, and partnerships contribute to the long-term sustainability of tourism across Southeast Asia.

In 2025, Jans Tours Indonesia and Jans Tours Philippines proudly became members of Travelife, an internationally recognized sustainability certification program for the travel industry. This marks the start of a structured journey to align our practices with global sustainability standards, reflecting our commitment to responsible tourism and continuous improvement in every part of our business. Building on this progress, Jans Tours Malaysia is preparing to join Travelife in late 2025, ensuring our sustainability efforts are consistent across all three countries.

On 29 January 2026, Jans Tours Indonesia proudly achieved the Travelife Partner level award, marking an important milestone in our sustainability journey. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible tourism and alignment with internationally recognized sustainability standards. However, this is just the beginning. Our dedicated teams will continue to strengthen and improve our sustainability practices with the aim of achieving the Travelife Certified award in the near future. Following this progress, we expect Jans Tours Philippines and Jans Tours Malaysia to achieve Travelife Partner level in 2026, ensuring a consistent and unified approach to sustainability across all three destinations.

At Jans Tours, we have a dedicated sustainability team, who devote their time and expertise to making our vision for responsible travel a reality. Diverse and devoted, each member of this team plays an integral role in ensuring Jans operations play a positive role in tourism.

All focus their energy into action planning, reporting and evaluation of sustainability initiatives, to help us identify areas for improvement and create new pathways for eco-friendly development. Through regular training, meetings and initiatives, our sustainability team is constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
